Atlas Salt: a 300% winner for us which we think has more to give

Salt mining may sound quite prosaic, but Atlas Salt [TSXV:SALT] has been one of the best performing stocks in our venture portfolio to date. Not only that, we think the stock has a lot more to give, which I go into below.

We originally bought into Atlas Salt when it was still trading as Red Moon in 2021. At the time one of our contacts in Canada raised it with us. The salt miner, which is based in Newfoundland, has a good story as the provider for a potentially massive resource of salt for the North American municipal road gritting market. But there is more to the company than just this, including a political deal which seems to have played into its hands unexpectedly.
